With a career spanning every facet of commercial roofing, including system design, field supervision, consulting, and insurance‑based damage analysis, he brings a uniquely comprehensive perspective to modern roofing operations. OSHA‑10 certified, he is known for maintaining a rigorous safety‑first culture and ensuring every roof assembly exceeds manufacturer specifications.

His background includes extensive experience in commercial property finance and years spent handling large‑loss commercial claims as an independent adjuster. This foundation gives him a highly disciplined, evidence-driven understanding of building‑envelope performance and failure analysis. As a consultant, he has evaluated and advised on hundreds of commercial roof systems, earning a reputation for precision, clarity, and trusted documentation. He is a Haag Engineering Certified Commercial Roof Inspector and holds Low‑Slope and Metal Roofing Certifications through the University of Wisconsin–Madison College of Engineering.

Deeply involved in system design and specification development, Nick collaborates closely with manufacturer representatives and BTE’s internal teams to engineer roofing solutions that elevate building performance, streamline installation, and maximize long‑term owner value. He is widely respected throughout the industry for his leadership, integrity, and ability to translate complex technical requirements into practical, high‑performing outcomes.

Outside of his professional work, he values family above all. He and his wife, high school sweethearts for more than four decades, share a life built on faith, commitment, and service. A former college hockey and football official and marathon runner, he now enjoys traveling, the outdoors, and sharing his passion for fishing with his granddaughter.
